A week of daydreaming in the paradise of orchids and hummingbirds

7 Days, 6 Nights  |  Moderate  |  Pichincha, Ecuador  |  Private cabin

Are you looking for an opportunity to learn more about birds? Completely dive into nature? Take a sabbatical week in this natural paradise.

The reserves' 730 hectares are covered to a great majority by primary virgin forest, growing on an altitude from 1400 to 2600 meters. Due to this large altitude range, Santa Lucía is an ideal place with a great variety of birds: more than 394 species were registered in our list of local birds.

At the end of the day, you can rest in beautiful cabins and discover the dreaminess of being surrounded by nature. Furthermore, this trip will give you the opportunity to get to know other communities and nearby natural reserves which since many years are dedicated to conservation projects and sustainable tourism.

You will be able to truly engage with locals and live in family homestays for part of the trip.
